The Game Map
Introduction
This Blog is dedicated to a play-by-email game I have been thinking about doing for a long number of years (at least 10).
It is set at the time of the Aquilonian Civil War; Conan and King Numedides fight for control of the most powerful Western Nation of the Hyborian World.
They are aided and hindered by loyal and rebellious nobles each of whim has troops to add to the weight of either faction.
It would best suit a 5 or more player game - in two factions - quite easily. The PC's would be Barons or Counts mainly, with one playing King Numedides and one playing General Conan in the larger game.
There are many troop types available from the Noble Knights to the Levy Spearmen. Mercenaries from neighbouring Nations can also be hired. Troops are arranged into Armies comprising a number of 'Guards' representing the vanguard, main guard and rear guard.
The game map is a representation of the Nation of Aquilonia. Armies move around one hex per turn (two along a road). Battles can be fought in rural or city areas.
Victory can be gained in two ways;
1. Kill King Numedides or both General Conan and Count Trocero.
2. Capture at least 5 Cities on the map.
More information coming soon...
